Message "Search Megan downpipe in tt.net and show me how many subjects come up. There were probably 6-7 threads that were hit and not a single one went into the details that I've already gotten from everybody who responded."

Oh really?

Searching "megan downpipe" verbatim:

Even before I went to college to study mathematics, I knew that 20 threads wasn't equal to "6-7 threads."

None went into detail? How about the second result?

"Guys

Just a heads up on the Megan Racing downpipes....

I installed these on a customer car over the weekend, and came to a few conclusions.

Upon opening the packaging, I noticed a "QC" sticker on the downpipe itself. We will *assum* the "QC" stands for quality control (these mass produced units.) I began installing them and when I got to the passenger side downpipe, I had to hold off. The downpipe would not actually fit. After a short examination I noticed that the wastegate separator was actually installed upside down. I broke out the tools to unscrew it, and to my surprise the allen head screws they use (countersunk into the separator) were not even tight.

I realize that even if the screws were to completely loosen, they couldnt back out (since they butt up against the exhaust housing) however there are possibilities, and I'd have prefered to not take my chances. For peace of mind, I pulled the drivers side unit off and inspected the bolts and sure enough, they were snug but definately not tight.

My suggestion would be to stick with a trusted (and 'original') vendor on these pipes......our cars will love us better for doing so!"

Clicking on the first result and looking at the thread reveals this.

"MEGAN products are JUNK

My downpipes fit ok, the test pipes did not fit at all. The passenger side pipe would need to be twisted a FULL inch to line the bolt holes up. Cheap chinese shit, not worth the hassle. Some say theirs bolted up ok, most do not.... I took the cheap skate way and ended up with shiny pipes not worth anything. Go for it if you can't take advice."

Clicking the 4th result and reading some of the thread reveals "Quality & fitment are inconsistent at best."

Do you really want me to keep going? Because I could easily start referencing the 926 results SlicktopTT got by *knowing how to search for something.*

Accept it... you lied about searching and could've found the answer more quickly (and thoroughly when you consider just the second result of the search) than asking. Have a nice day.
